I’ll have to say, that for me personally, gaming is becoming more and more online based because of the multiplayer aspect. It’s just more fun playing with other humans than playing against a computer with pre-defined actions based on rules etc. Obviously, it depends on the game, somethings are still best as singleplayer.
One game I’m really enjoying at the moment (although not racing, so maybe a bit offtopic), is bombermine.com – it’s Atomic Bomberman in a free HTML5 version, competing against hundreds of other players. Good for a lunchbreak game 🙂

Everybody likes FREE things and since most of the online games are free or has FREE TRIAL version everyone chooses to play the game online as against the console.

That was a really good post. I was searching for a good online racing games but couldn’t find a good one line auto club revolution. I guess purchasing online games are far more better than buying a console with a pre-installed games because after some time a new version will get released if they release it for the older version of console its good otherwise we would have to spend more bugs buying the hardware.

Great post. Though I don’t play racing games (the only was I was ever good at was Mario Kart, lol), I do play MMORPG’s. I still consider myself a loyal Nintendo fan though, b/c outside of WoW it’s the only other system I play. I’ve loved Nintendo since I was a kid.
