OnePlus is has been on the market since 2014 and the company had a rough path when you consider the competition it has to deal with. It was a bold move to create a mobile company, despite the fact some of the new companies had brilliant innovations over the years.
However, the market is not only divided into two manufacturers – Apple and Samsung. Fresh new companies have entered the mobile industry and have proved that it is possible to compete with the giants. Companies like Huawei that got into the mobile industry in 2006, now have yearly revenue of $107 billion, as well as Oppo with the starting date in late 2004, has now become the fourth biggest mobile company in the world.
OnePlus always tries to pull some amazing specs on their phones, followed by some innovative technology. Now for the first time, all of the roomers came up true as OnePlus has unveiled three phones OnePlus 7, alongside OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. This is for the first time that the company decided to release different phones in one go. Robert Downey Jr., the Iron Man himself, promoted the new product sharing a photo of himself holding the new OnePlus 7 Pro.
The innovations continue with the release of these phones. Now that every company has been trying to expand the screen, they had a few troubles when it comes to the front camera. For example, the screen on the latest Samsung S10 goes around the camera. However, OnePlus has decided to make a pop-up camera, which expands from the top of the phone whenever you want to take a selfie. This enables the phone to be equipped with an edge to edge screen.
The release date of these modes is different. The OnePlus 7 will arrive in June, while the OnePlus 7 Pro will go on sale already on the 21st May. The 5G model release date remains still unconfirmed.
1. OnePlus 7
When it comes to the performance the OnePlus 7 is equipped with a faster 2.84GHz Snapdragon 855 with Adreno 640GPU, making it more powerful than the last OnePlus 6T. This new phone is the first one that is equipped with super-fast storage standard, making loading speeds on games and apps 9 times faster. Besides being quicker than a racing horse, they have also replaced the bottom mono speaker with stereo speakers and improved the fingerprint sensor.
In terms of hardware, it is very similar to the previous one, following with a 6.41 inch AMOLED display and 16Mp selfie camera. The OnePlus 7 also has Quick Charge and battery of 3,700mAh.
They have made some software updates as well. OnePlus 7 has a new gaming mode allowing users to control the notifications while gaming and all new improvements concerning the camera software with capabilities of shooting pictures on low light.
The cost of OnePlus 7 will start at $639.
2. OnePlus 7 Pro
This model got the audience very excited. The design is a real head-turner with its gradient color option and the edge to edge display with only an 88.6% screen-to-body ratio. The screen is outstanding, making it their first Quad-HD display with 4.5m pixels (3120×1440, 516ppi) which is awarded an “A” rating from DisplayMate.
If you are ready for a selfie, don’t worry about the pop-up front camera, it is ready to go in 0.58 seconds and OnePlus announced that the camera could withstand at least 300,000 uses. There is extra protection for it, making the camera dust proof and waterproof. If you drop your phone during selfies, the camera will retract automatically.
OnePlus 7 Pro comes with 16Mp ultra-wide (f/2.2) and 8Mp telephoto (f/2.4) lenses with a 48Mp Sony IMX586. The phone has all new low light sensors and 4K video capability at 30/60fps as well as 1080p Super Slow Motion at 240fprs.
Just because it is 90Hz refresh rate, the transitions are smoother than ever, enabling you to enjoy games without any distraction.
The LED notification light from the previous model has been removed. However, the new OnePlus will notify you with its new feature flashing the edges of the screen.
It will be available in 6GB RAM / 128GB storage, 8GB RAM/256GB storage, and 12GB RAM/256GB storage.
The processor is the same from OnePlus 7 with 2.84GHz Snapdragon 855 with Adreno 640GPU.
The battery is also bigger at 4,000mAh, alongside with the Quick Charge it can go up to 50% in just 20 minutes
The prices for OnePlus 7 will start at $829.
3. OnePlus 7 Pro 5G
Unfortunately, OnePlus did not give out much information about the 5G model, except that the phone is almost ready for launch. This model will have next-generation 5G mobile connectivity with its all-new X50 modem. This 5G technology will be able to load pages at unbelievable speeds. We will have to wait and see its capabilities.
